EXCHANGE YOUTH: "TULANCINGO..... HERE WE COME! ! !"

The exchange youth were at the San Francisco airport on July 19th to board a 6:30 am flight to Mexico. There were smiles and tears as the Parents gave hugs and good wishes to their teens and Tulancingo sons & daughters. The Tulancingo youth promised to return one day. The Parents commented on how quickly the four weeks had flown by since their arrival in June. While in Tulancingo, Perla and other parents have taken the Pleasanton youth to visit Teotihuacan's pyramids of the Sun and Moon, Mexico City, Veracruz, Pachuca, Six Flags and other interesting places. Along with field trips to these towns, the youth are enjoying tasting the delicious food (like guajolotes) and are having fun exploring Tulancingo. They found the ice cream store and the bakery in the city center.
The exchange youth are scheduled to return on August 16th. We plan to get together shortly after to share photos and experiences of their past eight weeks and to celebrate the success of the 2010 Exchange Program. Look for photos to be posted on our website at www.ptscaexchange.org. Thanks to everyone involved in helping out with this year's exchange program. As you know, there is a lot of planning, volunteering and donating of time and money that goes into such a valuable program. The parents, youth, Jay and I appreciate your kindness and support.
